Production system
The Toyota Production System was implemented in November 2010. The production plan will be fixed based on the orders from customers, and only the necessary quantity is produced at the necessary timing. By thoroughly eliminating “waste”, we are able provide reasonable prices.

The factory has several production lines for each type of furniture. In order to deliver our products to our customers as quickly as possible, we carefully make each product on the line that can produce the product most efficiently. The process is arranged in a circle by a small team of workers in a cell line system so that they can share each other’s progress. By helping each other through bottleneck processes, we are reducing work in process inventory and manufacturing lead time.
Technique
A technology in which thin wooden boards called veneers of about 1 mm to 1.5 mm are pasted together with adhesive, placed in a mold, and molded into various shapes. Fuji Furniture possesses technologies such as frame insertion, frame removal, 3D, and making unequal thickness through the high molding technology cultivated since 1977. Our plywood has a beautifully curved surface that cannot be expressed by solid wood, and it is thin but strong, it’s enough to be the component of a complex-shaped a chair.

We use water-based oil stain that is gentle to nature and has no fire risk. Since it does not form a coating film, it does not damage the texture of wood and is characterized by a good feel. It is carefully and evenly applied twice with a roller and waste cloths and finished with # 2000 water resistant paper to prevent scuffing.

The paper pattern is taken into CAM, converted into data, and dropped on the marker. We also change the marker and consider the elongation rate according to the texture and pattern of the fabric.
After preparing sewing specifications with CAD based on CAM and mass-produce prototypes based on the specifications, we revise the specifications as needed. Each process is performed by using multiple sewing machines such as overlock, buttonhole, sewing machine, gather, double stitch, etc.

Based on CAD-made upholstery specifications, we carry out the process of under layer, cushioning such as feather, cotton, and urethane, and upholstery. Covering is carried out together with nude upholstery and veneer upholstery. Because it is the final process of manufacturing and greatly affects the finish, it is carried out by an experienced craftsman.
